Major Groundworks & Surfacing Project
Catherine’s School, Hoddesdon
East Herts Surfacing is currently undertaking a major excavation and groundworks project at St Catherine’s School in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire.
The project covers a substantial area of the school grounds, involving extensive excavation, ground preparation and surfacing work. As shown in the aerial photographs, several types of heavy machinery are being used across the site to carry out different stages of the work.
The images provide a clear view of the scale of the project, from the excavation areas surrounding the school building to the newly surfaced roadway along the site boundary.
Excavation and Ground Preparation
A significant part of the project involves excavation and preparation of the existing ground.
The aerial photographs show large sections of the school grounds where excavation work is underway. Excavators are operating in different areas of the site, removing and moving ground materials as part of the ongoing works.
Dumpers are also being used to transport materials around the site, while rollers are operating across the prepared ground.
The photographs highlight the extent of the excavation work, with different sections of the site at various stages of preparation.
Groundworks and Machinery Operations
The project involves several pieces of specialist construction machinery working across the school grounds.
Excavators, dumpers and rollers can be seen operating throughout the site, each carrying out different tasks associated with the excavation and ground preparation process.
The aerial views show the distribution of machinery across the working area, providing an overview of how the groundworks are progressing.
Large sections of exposed ground, excavated materials and prepared surfaces are visible, demonstrating the substantial amount of work taking place.
Roadway Surfacing
Alongside the excavation and groundworks, the photographs also show newly laid tarmac along the curved roadway surrounding part of the school grounds.
The dark asphalt surface is clearly visible in contrast to the excavation areas, highlighting the different stages of work taking place across the project.
The roadway follows the boundary of the school site, with the aerial images providing a clear view of the newly surfaced section and the surrounding construction area.
Aerial Project Progress
The drone photographs capture the project from several angles, providing a detailed overview of the ongoing work at St Catherine’s School.
From wider views showing the entire working area to closer images of the excavation machinery, the photographs document the current condition of the site and the progress of the groundworks.
The images also show the surrounding school buildings, access roads and neighbouring areas, illustrating the overall size and location of the project.
